Spomienky tela SKIN was commissioned by Divadlo Štúdio Tanca Banská Bystrica and focused on pure dance and the embodied memory of the body in relation to other bodies. The work explored physical remembrance, interaction, and presence, and toured as a repertory piece for over four years across Europe. (My interest as choreographer is in perceiving dance as a visual art and possibilities of its communication with audience. Working with composition - creating "liquid pictures" and broad range of movement vocabulary I try to supress first emotions and thus open channel for communication through the associations offered in these pictures. Thanks to them every single audience member can interpret them according his own life experiences. Its not my interest to interpret dance for audience or asign any kind of dramatical function then one dance naturally has. This piece was comissioned as DANCE PIECE, by Studio Tanca Banska Bystrica.)
Smetiar was the first intermedia performance by Tomáš Danielis. The work investigated shifting points of view, spatial perception, and the construction of physical and symbolic barriers. It premiered at WUK in Vienna (Austria) and was later presented in Austria, Slovakia, and other European countries.
Damnation was a personal project by Tomáš Danielis, conceived as an intimate performance engaging directly with the audience. Through gentle interaction, spectators became co-performers, shaping a portrait of vulnerability and strength. The work reflected the experience of an immigrant negotiating identity and belonging within a foreign society.
The Grenztänzer project was commissioned for the TANZ – MINORITEN KULTUR Festival Graz. The choreography was created for two dance companies in two different cities and countries, in collaboration with Kaunas Dance Theatre Aura, exploring cultural borders and coexistence.
