Inner Garden is a dance project focusing on questions of generational difference and what we leave behind as human beings. Two performers – Nikola Kisačová, a young, emerging voice in contemporary dance, and Tomáš Danielis, a choreographer with over two decades of international experience – meet on stage in a poetic and yet intense confrontation. The structure of the work is simple: dance and performative dialogue where while one dances, the other writes poetry live based on personal diaries and sociological/philosophical text related to them (thus creating „superinterpretation“ from dramaturgical standpoint). This interplay between movement and text unfolds in real time, giving the audience direct access to the inner world of the performers as humans. The result is a score – where presence, memory and communication are shared, exchanged, and sometimes lost. Performers explore dance and physicality all the way to virtuosic leves, in connection to poetry leading them to unique movement languages uncovering human vulnerability hand in hand with beauty and inspiring dance. Simplicity in staging is deliberate thematic choice.

LNAR: We live in an extraordinary time in which, as human beings, we are moving toward a future that goes beyond the limits of our imagination—a future in which new social structures, once perceived as utopian, are beginning to take shape. It is a future where artificial intelligence, generated by us and trained on our lives, reshapes human identity, transforms narratives, and replaces them with short stories and data.

Tomáš Danielis and Lucas Wilson Spiro reveal how we create and shape datasets and thereby inevitably contribute to these changes. They question how people and their relationships are annotated within datasets and, based on this, create new stories and interpretations through the human body and dance within an interactive environment.
